Who Can Attend

Open to middle and high school students (Ages 11-17) — no prior MUN experience required! Perfect for beginners who want to build confidence and learn the basics of global diplomacy.

What Attendees Learned

• Model UN rules and procedures

• How to research and represent a country

• Public speaking, resolution writing, and negotiation

• A complete MUN simulation on the final day!

Schedule (July 20-24): 

Day 1 (Monday): Introduction to Model UN, how to prepare for committee

Day 2 (Tuesday): How to write resolution papers, how to speak memorably

Day 3 (Wednesday): How to lead a bloc, how to win awards

Day 4 (Thursday): Committee Simulation Day 1 + Individual Coaching/Feedback

Day 5 (Friday): Committee Simulation Day 2 + Individual Coaching/Feedback

Q: Is lunch provided?

A: Because each day ends at noon, lunch will not be provided. However, snacks will be provided daily.

Q: What if I cannot attend all days of camp?

A: We understand sceduling can be an issue. If this is an issue, let us know which day(s) you cannot attend and we will send materials/resources to ensure the student does not fall behind.

Q: What if the cost of camp is an obstacle for signing up?

A: We do not want cost to be a reason you cannot attend DUMUN Summer Academy; because of this, we are offering a limited amount of need-based scholarships. Contact dumunsg@gmail.com if this applies to you for more information.

Q: Can I get a refund after purchase?

A: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis with considerations including time of notification, quantity of tickets, and spot availability. Most refunds will not be accepted.
