Program Overview

DUMUN Summer Academy II | July 20 – 24, 2026 | 5-day intensive

Building on the success of Summer Academy I, DUMUN Summer Academy II expanded the program into a fuller 5-day format, giving students deeper time to develop MUN skills and take part in a more developed diplomatic simulation experience.

How the Program Was Built

DUMUN's leadership carried forward the same proven framework from Summer Academy I, expanding it to fill five days of instruction and practice:

1. Foundations — MUN procedure and rules of order

2. Skill-building — public speaking, debate, resolution writing, and negotiation

3. Application — an extended committee simulation, giving students more time to research, represent their assigned countries, and negotiate resolutions

The additional days allowed for deeper skill reinforcement and a more immersive simulation experience than the original 3-day format.

Impact by the Numbers

DUMUN Summer Academy II ran as a 5-day intensive program, enrolling 14 students who worked through the same three curriculum stages — procedure, skills, and simulation — over the course of the camp. The extended format gave every student more time to practice public speaking, debate, and negotiation before taking part in the program's culminating simulation.
